On November 10, 2016 Olena Reshetnyak and Mykhailo Dovgopol, experts of Change Agency “Perspectives” team, carried out the first strategic planning session in the Kharkiv Regional Specialized Baby Home #1.

A specially created group on strategic planning discussed global and national trends that lead to the need of baby homes transformation. Also the participants talked about decentralization and primary health care reform. Next, in mini-groups worked on the mission and vision of the new Center of Rehabilitation and Palliative Care with Early Intervention Services.

“Our task is to help the Baby Home management team define goals and develop a plan to achieve them”, said Mykhailo Dovgopol. Strategic planning sessions are conducted under the project “Creating a new model of family and community oriented services for children with special needs” with the financial support of UNICEF.
