On 2 October 2015 the final conference of the Growth of Women’s Business and Leadership Program took place in the conference hall “Rosinka”. The program was implemented in Kharkiv and its region by the order of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID/FINREP-II).
74 women who successfully participated in the first, second and third level educational programs attended the conference.
Olena Reshetnyak, Chairperson of the Board of the non-governmental organization Change Agency “Perspectives”, and Tetyana Gavrysh, Honorable Consul of Germany in Kharkiv, greeted participants.
Tetyana Chernetska, the CEO of the Change Agency “Perspectives”, presented a summary of the project. To provide further motivation to continue their education the most active participants during the whole duration of the project were awarded with presents - books about financial literacy, project management, motivation, personal effectiveness, time management etc. The participant with the most ambitious plan received a globe as a symbol of her own business expanding across the different countries.
Olena Zinenko, Olena Pushnohraeva and Olga Lavrova, participants of the project, shared their success stories and told about how the project contributed to their success.
Mykhailo Dovhopol, the board member of the Change Agency “Perspectives” and trainer, told about the participants’ “zones of development”. At the end of the first session all women received certificates of participation in the Program.
An important part of the conference was designing plans for future development and actions, the successful program results had motivated the women to identify additional future activities. During this part of the conference participants worked in small groups, and each of the groups created its own tree of development. The result was a big tree with seven different branches of development and many ideas about what women could do in order to implement these directions of the development.
All things considered the atmosphere during the conference was very friendly and creative and it gathered women from different levels and groups and gave them another opportunity for networking and future cooperation.
