The Medical Leader Studio meeting devoted to change projects that Studio participants conducted in their organizations took place on 29 January 2016.
The most popular topic participants chose for their project is developing strategic priorities for their company. The reason behind such a choice is that there are rarely clear priorities in Ukrainian health care companies and without priorities no change in the company is possible. Some projects are related to problem solving in the company, for example, too much time between the scheduled and actual time for doctor consultation and process standardization (how to make employees in similar situations behave in the same way regardless of their location).
The workshop trainers emphasized that the essence of a change project is a change in peoples’ behavior, therefore the change project cannot be limited to one strategic planning meeting or strategic plan development – that is only beginning of the project.
Participants discussed the motivation of non-medical personnel, in particular, incentives for involving administrative personnel in sales.
The next Medical Leader Studio meeting will take place at the end of February and will be the final meeting for this group. Participants will present their projects and receive Medical Leader Studio Diplomas.
