On October 19, 2016 training "Vaccination" and "Prevention of non-communicable diseases" was conducted for family doctors and nurses. Speakers were members of Kharkiv expert group in medical reform: Andrii Penkov, President of the Ukrainian-German Medical Association, pediatrician of the highest category, MD, and Professor Oleksii Korzh, Head of "General practice - family medicine" Kharkiv Medical Academy of Postgraduate education, Head of Kharkiv Association of family physicians.
Andrii Penkov talked about: ? principles and value of vaccination; ? immunity and immunological memory features; ? importance of providing information for parents about the vaccine and importance of receiving their consent; ? exaggeration of scary myths about the vaccination effects; ? principles of individual decision-making process of vaccination; ? rules of simultaneous vaccines input; ? organizational issues of immunization in Ukraine; ? problems of vaccines quality.
Oleksii Korzh outlined important tasks of Family Physicians: ? inform people about the risk factors that lead to cardiovascular complications; ? assess customer readiness to accept and perform preventive actions; ? help to create a plan for prevention and accompany client in its performance; ? be able to use meta-analysis to make state of health conclusion.
